  25. If you did this you should be able to change all paths
  26. in the configuration file $TEXMF/web2c/texmf.cnf.

  32. It seems that MakeTeXPK did not work.
  33. Do you actually have the MF file cmss9.mf ?
  34. Is it in MFINPUTS, as defined in texmf.cnf ?

  40. This is exactly where the font does finish up:
  41. well, in /usr/local/lib/texmf/fonts/tmp/pk/... .
  42. It is only temporarily in /tmp/... during creation.

  47. This would not be in the default MFINPUTS file.

  49. The moral is: just find and modify the texmf.cnf configuration file.
  50. (Also you may need to create the required directories
  51. /usr/local/lib/texmf/fonts/tmp/pk and subdirectories
  52. for MakeTeXPK to store the files it creates.
  53. These subdirectories should be world readable and writable.)
